Our Story

Born from a Love of the Beautifully Slow

"We founded Resin Convert Station because we believed luxury travel deserved better storytelling."

Resin Convert Station was founded in 2019 by a group of writers, photographers, and former hotel professionals who shared a conviction: that the most remarkable travel experiences in the world were being written about in the language of a press release.

We set out to change that. From our editorial offices in the Marunouchi district of Tokyo, we commission long-form journalism about the places, properties, and experiences that genuinely earn the word "extraordinary."

Today, Resin Convert Station reaches over 200,000 readers in 68 countries. We have reviewed 620 hotels across 84 countries, all independently, all at our own expense.

Our Commitment

Editorial Independence, Always

Resin Convert Station accepts no complimentary stays, press trips, sponsored itineraries, or advertising from the hotels, airlines, or destinations we review. Every opinion we publish is ours alone.

Our reviewers stay anonymously, pay market rate, and declare no prior relationships with properties. This is not common in luxury travel media. We are proud to stand alone.

What We Stand For

The Resin Convert Station Editorial Charter

Independence Above All
No advertiser, partner, or property can influence our editorial voice. Our reviews are our own, always.
Depth Over Volume
We publish fewer, longer articles. A single considered piece of travel writing is worth more than a thousand listicles.
Responsible Luxury
We champion properties that minimise environmental impact, support local communities, and build for the long term.
Genuine Expertise
Every writer on staff has lived, worked, or studied in their region of expertise. We do not send generalists to specialist destinations.
The Long View
We are not a trend publication. Our destination guides, hotel reviews, and itineraries are crafted to remain relevant for years.
Beautiful Writing
Travel deserves literature. Our writers bring craft, care, and a genuine love of language to every assignment.
